Cast: Anushka, Sonu Sood, Deepak, Sayaji Shinde, Manorama , Satyanarayana.
Plot outline :
The movies starts at the present day with the engagement celebrations of Arundhati ( anushka ) . she and her family return to Gadwal their hometown due to some forced circumstances ahead of the wedding in hyderabad.
Arundhati faces some bizarre situations and as she learns the history of the old gloomy palace and old arundhati ,she finds herself haunted by the ghost and eventually comes to know the reason why it is haunting her after 80 years!.
The rest of the story deals with how arundhati puts an end to the evil spirit.
Performances :
Anushka gave her career best performance and showed good variations in the body language of old and new arundhati.
Soonu sood is superb as the villain/ evil spirit and shayaji shinde is perfect as a Muslim pakhir who stands by the side of arundhati.
I do not wish to highlight the negative points of the film.The only thing i found a little funny is the way anushka danced ( pathetic dancing actually) in the song
( villain face off) during the flashback episode.
Summary :
This a film which should be watched in a big screen with good sound effects.
It is a matter of fact ( also regret) that films like this come rarely in Telugu.The camera work and graphics are amazing and are of great quality.
Some movies make an impression on you even after you leave the theater..like Ammoru ,Devi etc.
Arundhati is certainly among that category of films and a must watch!

This is one of the few telugu movies, high on technical values, and good on script. You can not expect more from telugu movies nowadays, industry lost its way long ago and making non stop crappy movies. The reviewer above seriously worried on the movie, and money ………. be honest my friend, iam bored of watching most of telugu movies and like me lacks of people around. this is sure a breath. You wont loose your money rather you will have a great feeling.

cinema chala bagundi kani script paranga mallemala team konni tappulu chesaru. pashupathi mother chanipoyaka pashupati pretatma avidani elaa tirigi teesukochindi malli aavida role chivarlo elaa end ayindi chupinchaledu. inka pashupati shareeram nashanam ayindani, aa shareram kullipoyindani pretatma to cheppinchi chivarlo malli ade shareeram loki aatma velladam bagaledu. veetipai inka script work chesunte cinema inka excelent gaa vachhedi. ee mistake tappinchi cinema superb. idi shyam prasad gari nundi vachhina maro masterpeace.

it is a fantastic movie which i seen from hyderabad i congratulate the director,producer and the artist very well .indians could make much better films compared to hollywood moviesand many western movies, though iam an australian i congratulate all indians especially anushka must be rewarded at least a national award. only jealousy and gossippers write some nuissance about her acting. she has well done along with all artist .i congratulate all the artist along with anushka and the director and all technicians.thanks

we expect more from kodi ramakrishna’s direction,but it was failed by anushka’s performence was bad, there is no drum dance as they advirtised in all papers and channels, even in flashback scenes there are very few dialogues for anushka and only she does is giving poses stills if the producer had selected ramyakrishna as heroine this would have been really very good movie, to hide anushka’s lack of talent director very intelligently introduced baby jejamma’s character only through this the audience would know the jejamma. and the blunder of the blunder is that the reincarnation of jejamma as arundhati is very normal girl and afraid of the villain!!! even after she realised that she is incarnation of jejamma!! the director failed in connenction between many things the editing is also not good THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE IS ONLY RAVIKUMAR’S VOICE FOR SONU SOOD, AND AS A VILLAIN SONU SOOD WAS EXCELLENT. the other characters were only for a song squence. even there no role for deepak.
KODI’S MOVIE “DEVI” WAS REALLY VERY GOOD MOVIE EVEN GRAPHICS WERE NOT GOOD IN ARUNDHATI WHEN COMPARED WITH ANJI AND DEVI. I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY TOOK 45 DAYS FOR THE DRUM DANCE WHERE THERE IS NO DANCE STEPS AT ALL. REALLY WONDER WHY THEY TOOK 2 AND HALF YEARS FOR THIS. THE BLUNDER MISTAKE MADE BY THE DIRECTOR AND THE PRODUCER IS SELECTION OF THE HEROINE. MUSIC IS GOOD.
TILL ANJI MOVIE SHYAM PRASAD AND KODI’ COMBINATION WAS REALLY EXCELLENT FROM NOW ON WE MUST THINK TWICE BEFORE WE WATCH. PEOPLE WHO LIKED DEVI AND ANJI DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
